The Two Rivers Adventure Race
“We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.”

The 2021 Two Rivers Adventure Race is in the books! Thank you to everyone who came out to explore Loyalsock and Tioga State Forests with us. Stay tuned for details about the next edition! AboutThe Two Rivers Adventure Race is our premiere one-day adventure race each season, and we are proud to be part of the USARA national points series. The 2021 Two Rivers will be the biggest and baddest Two Rivers yet! We are holding TWO events over Memorial Day Weekend: a 15-hour race and a 36-hour race, both offering trekking, biking, packrafting, and navigating through the rugged splendor of north central Pennsylvania. While the Two Rivers is not a beginner race, we design the race with less competitive and experienced teams in mind, using a "modified rogaine" format. All teams must complete a designated mandatory route which requires less navigational ability and is short enough that all teams should have time to reach the finish line with adequate baseline fitness. For more experienced teams there will be additional, optional checkpoints to challenge even the fastest teams and best navigators. For those without access to a packraft, we have an alternate section that will still allow you to be an official finisher on the full course. Area LodgingCAMPING: there are campgrounds in the area, but you may camp at the registration site, Ski Sawill for a nominal fee: $10/person. AIRBNB: Use "Morris, PA" as your starting location. There are many options in the area! OTHER LODGING: There are various inns and traditional B&Bs in the area around Morris. Wellsboro is the closest bigger town with a few hotels. If traveling north to Morris, Williamsport and along the I-180 corridor is your best bet for traditional chain hotels and motels. USARA members are eligible for a discount at Choice Hotels. 15-Hour Schedule*FRIDAY: 4:00-9:00PM - Registration and first-stage map distribution** SATURDAY: 6:00AM - Race starts 9:00PM - Finish line closes *Schedule is preliminary and subject to change **Details about race maps included in the gear list; for teams unable to make the Friday night registration, we will allow early morning check in on Saturday. |

Supplies
There are small, sporadic gas stations and markets on the way to Ski Sawmill. Generally, we suggest you stock up on food and gas before you head into the hills as there are no major supermarkets near the race site, and restaurants are limited and erratic in their operating hours. Wellsboro to the north and Williamsport to the south are your best bets.
Look into Wild Asaph Outfitters in Wellsboro and the Walmart in Williamsport for last minute gear purchases.
